Without Guilt is a music video by Sudanese artist Mohamed Al Tayeb, launched on World Refugee Day 2024 to spotlight the global refugee experience and specifically Sudan’s ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The film translates Al Tayeb's journey of displacement into a cinematic narrative of metaphor and contrast. Through 5 different settings we embody the artists rapids shifts in mindstates, mixing memories of the past with dreams of his future.

Using VFX we were able to have Sudanese elephants traverse the Dutch landscape, creating scenes that symbolise Tayeb's own struggles with finding footing on foreign ground.

As the co-initiator, creative producer and lead creative on this project I collaboratively lead the concept, production and launch end-to-end. For our production crew we made the deliberate choice to mainly work with people with a refugee-background of their own, as we believe these stories should be told by the people that lived them, in front of the camera as well as behind it.
