Our team developed not just the experience itself, but also the branding, web presence, and launch campaign, and will continue supporting the future evolutions of this ode to the city.

I had the pleasure of presenting the concept for this project during the announcement event of the 750th anniversary of the city of Amsterdam.

The experience is built on the vast data-collection efforts of the city of Amsterdam over the centuries, immersing visitors through 360-degree projections, spatial audio and tactile interactions.

2025

Permanent exhibition, maquette experience

In October 2025, a unique new experience opened at Cultuurdorp Westergas: Amsterdam in Motion. This permanent exhibition is a gift to the city, celebrating 750 years of Amsterdam.

At the heart of Amsterdam in Motion is a vast 200-square-metre model of the city, the largest multimedia city model in the world. A 15-minute show brings to life the complex heritage, present and future of Amsterdam. From a small fishing village in 1275 to the international city we know today, and a glimpse into what lies ahead.
