'AMY' explores the incoming motherhood of my dear friend, solo mother by choice, laughing into the storm to come.

We captured these images together in the first hours of the landfall of Storm Amy, an extratropical cyclone that hit the north of the Netherlands in October 2025. They offer a contemplation on how nature, human resolve, the state of our world, and a new life's prospects within it all battle each other.

In the end is her decision alone to bring her young son into this world, and their perfect storm to charge into together.
