US AND THEM
2019
Photography
My inability to form an opinion on the Israel-Palestine conflict, fueled by conflicting and seemingly subjective media coverage, led me to start this project.
8 days I spent in Israel, and 8 days I spent in the Palestinian West-Bank. These photographs form my research into the identity of a divided land and a, perhaps naive, search for an unprejudiced truth.
By sitting down with my subjects to drink tea, to look each other in the eyes, to share more than just a moment but share a meal, I attempted to break the veiled barriers standing between myself and the people who call this conflict home.
